Bigga Socially Aware School Tour

Bob Marley Foundation and the Bigga Socially Aware School Tour

The Bigga Socially Aware School Tour was created to address the misuse of the various social media platforms by students and young adults. The tour aimed to educate students about the proper usage of social media and the internet and to reinforce positive user values and attitudes while online. The island-wide campaign kicked off in September 2017 and continued for the remainder of the school year.

The Bob Marley Foundation in partnerships with the Bob Marley Museum and Tuff Gong International joined the campaign based on the shared values of empowerment, positivity, and upliftment.

The Foundation’s involvement in the campaign came in the form of a song competition where participating schools were required to submit a one-minute song under the theme “Positive Vibes”.

Tarrant High School emerged as our winner! They received a professional recording session of their winning song at the Tuff Gong International Studios, complimentary tours of the Bob Marley Museum and the Tuff Gong International Studios and are invited to perform at the internationally recognized Bob Marley Earthstrong Celebration at the Bob Marley Museum to be held on February 6, 2019.
