In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Haile Selassie High School’s music and performing arts programme has received a facelift.
The hours before and after school as well as holiday breaks provide opportunities for children to engage in activities that build confidence. This includes not only academics, but the creative arts both within the school grounds and community-based.
The Marley Internships Project was designed to provide job placement opportunities for youths who are attached to existing training programmes at institutions such as National Youth Service, Heart Trust/ NTA, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Trade Works Foundation or high schools which require their students complete community service or training hours.
The Bigga Socially Aware School Tour was created to address the misuse of the various social media platforms by students and young adults.
The Bob Marley Foundation and The South African High Commission Connecting “Women of Fortitude”
The Greater August Town Film festival (GATFFEST), partners with the Bob Marley Foundation to screen the Jamaican Films included in this year’s Festival, at the Bob Marley Museum on Friday, June 23. Themed ‘Jamaican Film Night’, film lovers will be treated to films created by local film makers, at 6 and 7.30 p.m.
