Elder Care

In continuing our mission to ensure the health and safety of our most vulnerable, the Bob Marley Foundation developed its Marley Social Welfare programme which provides support to our elderly in need of residential home care, especially our Rastafarian elders.

The foundation has committed to providing ongoing financial support toward the operating costs of the Abuna Yeshaq Home for the Aged and Eira Schader Home for the Aged. Additionally, the foundation provides for several elders in residence at the Safe Haven Home for the Aged.  

In December 2016, the Foundation partnered with Digicel and Red Stripe to launch the ‘Uplift and Upgrade the Eira Shader Home Drive’, to raise funds to create a more secure and comfortable environment for the residents.
